A former intelligence analyst and Afghanistan veteran has been charged with leaking classified information to the media.

Daniel Everette Hale, 31, of Nashville, Tenn., was arrested on federal charges Thursday. The reporter that Hale leaked this information to is not named in the indictment, but the charging document identifies him as Jeremy Scahill of the Intercept, an outspoken critic of America’s military activities overseas.

Hale "printed off a series of Secret and Top Secret documents through his position with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, many of which he then provided to the reporter."

The day that Hale is alleged to have met with the reporter at the reporter’s bookstore event, April 29, 2013, is the same day Scahill held a discussion and signing for his book Dirty Wars at Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C. The indictment states that in May 2013 Hale said the reporter “wants me to tell my story about working with drones at the opening screening of his documentary about the war and the use of drones."

Scahill’s book accompanied a 2013 documentary of the same name that was critical of secretive U.S. military operations, including drone warfare. The indictment states that Hale again met the reporter at another book event on June 8, 2013 — the same day Scahill was hosted at Busboys & Poets for another discussion about Dirty Wars.

A man who was arrested when investigators discovered a cache of more than 1,000 weapons on Wednesday has been released on bond, according to booking records.

Girard Damien Saenz, 57, was arrested on suspicion of illegal manufacture, distribution or sale of assault weapons. Police discovered massive cache of rifles, ammunition, and other weapons at a ritzy home in Bel-Air. Saenz was released on Thursday morning after posting a $50,000 bond, according to jail records.

The LAPD and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms served a search warrant Wednesday morning on the home at 111 N. Beverly Glen Blvd. The home is owned by Cynthia Beck, who was once a mistress of Gordon P. Getty, the fourth child of oil baron J. Paul Getty. Gordon Getty, now 85, is an opera composer and philanthropist who lives in San Francisco. In 1999, he acknowledged that he had three children with Beck, who were living in Los Angeles.

Beck bought the Bel-Air mansion for $2.6 million in 2001. It has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 8,229 square feet, according to L.A. County Assessor’s records. Redfin estimates it is now worth more than $7 million.

Beck and Saenz co-own several other properties in Los Angeles and San Francisco, according to property records. Saenz has had a contractor’s license since 1994, under the name Gerry Saenz and Associates.

According to the ATF, Saenz has a federal firearms license, but the agency was investigating whether he was dealing weapons outside the restrictions of the license.

Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has gotten himself into a new tangle with the law — running afoul of Virgin Islands environmental regulations with construction on his island compound despite a stop work order.

Epstein, a deep-pocketed socialite who has palled around with famous faces that include former President Bill Clinton, allegedly ran a seedy network of underage girls who were often coerced into doing Epstein’s sexual bidding.

But Epstein, a hedge fund manager, managed to weasel out of serious consequences for running his pervy syndicate, termed a “sex pyramid scheme” by the Miami Herald.

Despite having more than 30 victims, in 2008, federal prosecutors quietly dropped charges against Epstein under the direction of then-Miami U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, who is now President Trump’s labor secretary.

Instead, Epstein was allowed to plead guilty to a state charge and spent 13 months in jail. He is now registered as a Level 3 sex offender.

In February, a federal judge ruled that the prosecutors working the case broke the law by not notifying Epstein’s victims that they were cutting him a plea deal.

Epstein, meanwhile, is reportedly building a compound on the 165-acre island of Great St. James, which he purchased in 2016 for $18 million. He lives on the neighboring Little St. James.

The project has been the subject of a stop work order since December, a spokesman for the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources told the Post.

The spokesman confirmed that there has been unauthorized work on the island since the stop work order was issued.

The Virgin Islands Daily News reports that Epstein used a shell company called “Great St. Jim LLC” to purchase a large swath of Great St. James and to apply with Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources to conduct work on the island.

Epstein is building a complex of buildings on the island that include an amphitheater and an “underwater office & pool,” the Virgin Islands Daily News Reports, which will all be linked up by a private road.
