Literally true. Noah's 3 sons were Japheth, Shem & Ham*. Japheth's eldest son was Gomer, and Gomer's eldest son was Ashkenaz. Gomer and Ashkenaz tribes migrated through Scythia to Slavic lands, and around 11th c. the Ashkenazim came to Germany.

Father of Semitic tribe was Shem. Father of Japhetic tribe was Japheth.

Ashkenazi are not Semites.

Also, recent DNA evidence shows that all current Ashkenazi derive from roughly 400 ancestors who arrived in Poland and married gentile women. So all descendants of these Japhetic Ashkenazi were born of gentile women–technically they don't even qualify as Jews, by their own legal definition.

Yet there is no arguing that today the Ashkenazi dominate amongst "the Jews," and make up the majority in Israel. Netanyahu is Ashkenazi. Gary Cohn, Elie Wiesel, Bernies Madoff and Sanders, pretty much any Jew you can name is an Ashkenazi. Yet only the minority Sephardic Jews, who are looked down upon by the Ashkenazi, are actually Semites.
