A barge crash in the Houston Ship Channel has led to the closure of the channel after a gas product began spilling out.

 

The barge has a large gash in the side of the hull that is reportedly spilling the product reformate into the water just south of Bayport. The barge is reportedly carrying 25,000 gallons of the product.

 

No injuries have been reported.
