*According to geologists, cerro tusa is a volcanic formation that emerged 50 million years ago.
*The Zenufaná indigenous culture, that inhabited the area 2000 years ago. (and their descendants) considered the place sacred grounds and many petroglyphs, tombs and even caves have been found in the vicinity.
*People with gnostic and theosophic/esoteric ideologies cosider the place an 'energetic centre' and regularly visit the place to meditate.
*There has also been many reports of UFO sightings in the area, sometimes even mentioned in local tv channels like Teleantioquia.
