This behavior started when captcha was turned on. It requires CM intervention. Click report on the bread that's stuck (old copy in proxy cache) and click Global Report and tell CM what's wrong. They can fix it instantly. We fixed that bread before but it can be fixed again.
Had the same trouble in other breads & fixed the same way.
Learn about web caching, don't blame fuckery, there's a technical explanation - time to live field in that HTML page's javascript that's cached, that doesn't match the code now requiring a captcha.

My comment did not apply to ordinary baking and the new bread not showing up in the catalog. It applied to old breads that require a captcha but do not display the captcha prompt, and give the error "A CAPTCHA was requested but you did not enter one."
If you're baking and the bread seems stuck, what I always do is just open another Catalog in a new tab. Always works for me (baking meme breads every 10 days or so). The new bread will be in that new tab then I always bookmark it in a hurry and close the tab that's stuck.
