Anons,
I think we are looking at a massive shock to our food supply. The midwest is enduring a lot of very wet conditions. This is bad from the stand point of delays to planting and stress for farmers. However, the trials against Monsanto's flagship herbicide (glyphosate based Round-up) are proceeding and I think the public is slowly awakening to the fact that Round-up is vastly more dangerous than Monsanto ever let us know AND we are about to find out how many of our foods contain high amounts (leading very quickly to consumer demands for "clean" products as well as rejection of conventionally grown crops). In short the availability as well as demand for GMO corn and soy will decline, I believe..MASSIVELY. I like the advice contained in this story: Grow what you can. If you live in an agricultural region as I do, get to know some farmers who use sustainable (non-GMO crops and feed) and organic methods. I've even found a service that delivers from local farmers. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-05-09/food-crisis-here-trouble-farmers-corn-belt
