It looks like you've been making a habit of downloading thumbnails–it's a very common problem for mobile phone users on chan-style boards. When you go to save an image here, don't do "save image as", do "save link as" or save it by right-clicking the file name (higgsboson.jpg, etc) and choosing "save link as"

Yeah, that happens on my phone too. Mobile is just AIDS for using boards like this. You can usually avoid that happening if you grab it by long-clicking on the file name in the post, but if you aren't careful it will navigate away from the bread and you don't want that…
You can tell you ended up with a thumbnail if the file size is 5-25kb. It's too small to read or do much of anything with. :(
What browser you using? Try using Brave for Mobile. It's pretty solid.
Nope, it doesn't. The captcha is not difficult, it's about 5-10 seconds per post, and I've already noticed a drastic improvement in the usability of the board since it was turned on.
