111 is the emergency telephone number (like 911) in NZ
thats redirection. if you call 112 or 911 it will redirect to 111 in NZ
pretty much only the USA. Other countries will patch 911 through to their own emergency number but not all. Australia uses triple zero (000) and if you try to ring 911 you get a polite message telling you to fuck off back to seppo land.
