Yes, Gravity is currently posited as the singular driving force in the Universe. It is supposedly what determine's random Planetary orbits, it holds Spiral Galaxies together. When observations don't comply with basic physics, the standard model theorists invent concepts like "Dark" Energy, "Dark" Matter, and "Black" Holes in order to force observable phenomena into a convoluted and obviously flawed model.
Gravity is a very weak force, and it is likely just a byproduct of the much stronger Electromagnetic forces; molecular polarity results in stacked cells under downward force. (there is an inverse principle that this view opens up: Anti-Gravity is a legitimate force that can be tapped into with the proper tech)
