If he has a role, it's because he went and tried to do his own hedonistic life fantasy, got caught up in the mess briefly, killed someone after having a moment of "weakness", and used his assets to try to be an anti-hero to gain public favor for when SHTF.

I literally have fought, tooth and nail, against his fucking virus in systems across the nation. when you have 100 different physical protection layers properly implemented in an environment, there is NO FUCKING REASON to have a host-based firewall solution.

None whatsoever, at all. Period.

If your hax0rz are getting to your intranet systems, it's because your DMZ is a fucking cheese grater. McAfee knew this was an inevitability, so he created a system that would give leafs and higher ups a feeling of impenetrability based on the fallibility of trillions of dollars of networking equipment that congressmen/women purchased from CISCO.

The art of how those things work has literally put 4 bangers against the toughest big blocks ever made. I hopped in a 2019 rental, recently, and was astonished at the acceleration and smoothness in the shifting. Listening to the RPMs, you could hear how the workload has been shifted from the power plant to leveraging the gearing ratio in the transmission in the newer cars.

We've come a long way from "3 on the tree".
