YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – Officials say all is clear after “reports of shots heard” spurred a lockdown Thursday morning at the home of U.S. Forces Japan in western Tokyo.

“All clear. All clear. The emergency has ended,” said a message broadcast by Yokota’s Giant Voice system at 12:23 p.m.

A statement issued at noon by the 374th Airlift Wing, titled “Shots Heard at Yokota Air Base," said the unverified incident was under investigation and that no deaths of injuries had been reported.
