Currently a strong (KP7) geomagnetic storm taking place. This is due to Coronal Hole stream impact with the Magnetosphere of Earth.

An Earth directed CME has erupted, and is due to impact in the next day or two. This type of stacked double impact can be more volatile than a single event. Watch for electrical fires, blown transformers, grounded airlines, and Aurora if your close enough to the poles.
