posted late in bread, might as well repost….

When baking, take almost all notables nominated if the nom seems reasonable/timely and stuff hasn't been posted already. Ask for feedback mid-bake when posting so anons can object to anything they really don't think belongs in notables or add stuff I've missed.

However,if bakers relied 100% on nominations, notable list would be very short for most breads. Even with encouragement, there are not many noms, espec. when it's late (at night). On the other hand, if anons really don't like something, they are not shy about telling the baker, whether asked or not.

Important that bakers stay objective, attempt to embody community standards. And most do. You're just never going to get 100% agreement about what's notable, how many to include, criteria, etc. Also, some breads have a lot of news and some don't. I don't sweat the small stuff, just try to do my best and appreciate that others do the same.Considering this is an all volunteer effort, it works pretty well (even with shills and other obstacles).

I ended up with a couple of "notables" last bake–because of looking up and posting sauce. Sometimes I ask anons to do it but sometimes it's just easier to grab it and go. Many times, the lack of sauce is from phonefaggers who are happy to get a little support–tough to post when you're on the road.

Have never got a "we're busy now" message from pastebin. Have you before now??

Well, there is real division-fagging done on this board by shills; I mean, why wouldn't they? What they get paid for: divide and conquer.

And then there is lively debate, which involves actual facts and arguments (as opposed to ridicule and innuendo).

But it can get confusing because not all anons are great at separating personalities from ideas and don't necessarily argue using evidence.

They might not, e.g., tolerate ideas from people they don't like, even when the ideas (or articles or whatever) are valid. But I don't mind citing a wide variety of people, just look at the ideas, sauce, etc. Just 'cause someone doesn't follow Q for example–that doesn't bother me unless they're definitely anti-Q. Can be hard to sort out the dif between real and perceived "enemies."
