>BO/BVs prefer not to confirm anymore

I'm going to throw my $0.2 in.

Feel free to not believe me, or agree with me:

I think the baker checks were a band-aid crutch and the /BO/ was correct in ending it.

Why?

Several things were going on around the time the baker checks were instituted:

1) Anons had just migrated across three boards in roughly 4 months.

2) The "baker's union" of /pol/-/cbts/ had been proven to be comped.

3) AFLB had been fired as a betrayer.

Due to the confluence of those 3 events, 8-bit instituted baker checks.

Things are different now. Exactly like FastJack says: We have each other.

The Captcha toll has evened the playing field.

because posting costs one captcha, whether you are a shill or not.

Hurr, durr, It's why shills fixate on the shilling aspect of the captcha instead of the programmatic denial aspect of it.

So every post must be at least looked at by a human, even if they're copypasta'ing back. Nobody cares if the shills sell shit, as long as they are organically selling it ;)

humans have a right to free speech here.

Programs/scripts do not. It's that simple.v It's why you guys are still pissed about it.

Sorry, forgot to actually answer your question:

The captcha is relevant to baker checks because now anons know that the bakers are also human, having to also fill out the captcha.

Q hasn't said jack shit about the captcha or the /BO/ changeover either, so there's that..
