Belmont, Arizona 18 miles west of Flagstaff Arizona.

I-40 freeway with RT 66 frontage road north side of I-40 freeway

Belmont also known as Camp Navajo is an old munition assembly and storage base. A VA clinic is now operating there. There is one overpass (bridge) with on/off ramps for E/W bound I-40 lanes. Base entry is south side of I-40, RT 66 frontage road is on N/side running along side the W/bound lane. Hotel and mini fuel stop located N/side of overpass, Harley Davidson dealership located S/side (east bound I-40) near the base and a small residential compound on both sides of the I-40 freeway. SF Railway branchs off into the base, but it is no longer in use. The base is used mainly for Arizona NG 55B, 88M, cargo handling training site and all munitions (500 lbs) have been removed. Camp Navajo is not a Indian Reservation and the base is full of ammunition bunkers. Just give you an idea of the area. Native AZ Anon.
