Kenyan President Goes Missing amid Claims He Was ‘Bullied’ Off Social Media

Concern over Kenyatta’s whereabouts spread on social media after it emerged he had not been seen in public since his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the end of April and deleted his social media accounts. The speculation even led to the hashtag #FindPresidentUhuru.

Facebook Censors Pro-Life Ad Campaign in Ireland

Last week, the Dublin-based Iona Institute for Religion and Society launched a Facebook ad campaign called “still one of us,” a year after the passing of an Irish referendum that removed constitutional protections for the unborn.

While the campaign is running on a number of billboards in various parts of Ireland, Facebook has deemed the picture of a human fetus in the womb (see above) to be unacceptably graphic. Facebook proceeded to black out the image, replacing it with the warning announcing: “This photo may be sensitive to some people.”

Commenting on the move, Iona wondered aloud what about the life-affirming image of an unborn child in the womb could be considered “graphic or violent” in the minds of the Facebook censors.

'Don’t Test Us’: Iranian Ambassador to Britain Accuses U.S. of War Mongering

Although both U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have both said they’re not seeking violence, “Don’t test us” was the message Hamid Baeidinejad delivered in the wake of escalating tensions in the region.

“While we have renounced any escalation in the region, I would assure you that Iranian armed forces are fully ready for any eventuality in the region, so they should not try to test the determination of Iran to confront any escalation in the region,” he told Sky News.

Baeidinejad said he believes President Donald Trump’s closest advisers, like national security adviser John Bolton, are the ones trying to pressure him into a confrontation that neither country wants.

The ambassador told Sky News his government did not believe Mr Trump was serious about threatening war and was not worried by comments to the contrary.

“I think part of this is theatrical manoeuvres by the US,” he said.
