Early last week, the BBC reported that the ‘big thaw’, which followed the bitterly cold weather brought by the “Beast from the East”, had resulted in thousands of UK homes being without water, due to pipes bursting and leaking as they were thawing.
According to the BBC, over 20,000 homes in London were affected, with some water suppliers advising customers to “take short showers” where possible.

If there is any evidence a company breached any of its statutory obligations or licence conditions following the review, Ofwat said it will consider whether further action is needed.

Water can be used for bathing and flushing the toilet, and "with special care" when bathing children and babies.
A bottled water collection point has been set up at the Dalwhinnie Garage on the A889.
Scottish Water said tankers were being mobilised to enable alternative water to be brought into the area.

Scottish Water has lifted restrictions on the water supply to Dalwhinnie in the Highlands.
Earlier this week, residents were urged not to use the water for drinking or cooking.
Scottish Water said its initial investigations suggested recent severe weather had reduced the amount of water entering the local treatment works.
This had led to sediment being drawn into the supply, activating safety systems.
N.B. "sediment" - anyone believe this shit?! Anyone remember what the Jews had planned for Germany after WWII? Poisoning Germans via the water supply! Coincidence? C'mon!

The project would carry oil from Alberta to a terminal in Burnaby. From there, tankers would transport the oil to Washington state’s San Juan Island and on to the Pacific Ocean.

Children in Siberia pour cold water on DiCaprio’s climate change concerns (VIDEO)

A group of children in Russia’s northeastern Yakutia Republic have, literally, poured cold water over Leonardo DiCaprio’s concerns that temperatures there have reached record lows.
The children, dressed in karate gear, delivered an ‘ice cool’ video message to the Hollywood actor and environmental activist as they stood topless on the snow-covered ground and threw buckets of freezing water over themselves.
"Hello Leo! Thank you for thinking of us. Don't worry, we are all good. The sun is even shining today. Come visit us, we'll pour cool water. Good luck!", one boy from Yakutsk declared to the camera.

Marble Arch Caves: the science behind the tracing of water
http:// www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-43346538
A green, glowing river might look weirdly spectacular but for Paul Wilson it is part of daily life.
As a hydrogeologist with the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, it is his responsibility to check where water comes from and goes to and what effect it is having on the land as it travels along.
That's because some of the ground in Northern Ireland is of a particular kind.
"We call this karst," Paul said.
"It's a unique form, where the rocks dissolve out because of the slight acidity of the rainwater and then it creates these cavities in the ground, which means streams can actually sink underground then reappear again in really dramatic fashion sometimes."
This is what has happened over the millennia in County Fermanagh at the site of the Marble Arch Caves.
