also, what's interesting with the edgy/shocking angle is that it's been decades of this shit, now. DECADES of the same ole pentagrams & goats & blood & all the cliches… there is no shock or edge anymore, so if it was really about that, they would have to choose other costumes & content.

but the cliches keep on keepin on, and don't seem to be going away anytime soon. a lot like hip-hop being stuck in a loop of arrested development (if not flat-out regression, with mumblecore n sheit)
