Riverside Anon here, live very close to plane crash sight. In fact, within MAFB flight pattern. Very rare to see a jet around here. Usually big planes, my bro-inLaw works San Bernardino Sheriff, and used to coordinate, in conjunction with US Marshall’s, the Con Air flights on Fridays out of MAFB for Federal prisoners. He left that position years ago, so not sure if it still happens. Here is some info about the area:
Crash site is newer commercial complexes. Used to be base housing before demo and new const.
Riverside National Cemetary is across the street from crash sight.
Busy railroad tracks next to crash sight.
Grew up knowing if there was to be a first strike on the West Coast during Cold War, MAFB would be hit as there were many planes and the surrounding hills and empty land were filled with missile silos.. still underground bunkers a mile away throughout the empty land surrounding crash site.
Amazon recently built and opened a large warehouse down the street from the crash site.
Rvsd Police Academy next to Amazon. Ben Clark Training Center there for years. Bought land from government for very cheap.
Downtown Rvsd full of tunnels and catacombs. One point of entrance is historic Mission Inn Hotel and Spa. Many Celebrities used to come and stay there. Many US Presidents have visited there. Lounge is called Presidential Lounge, and feature oil paintings of visiting Presidents.
Owner is Duane Roberts, big Republican supporter and donor
Used to be strong Conservative town, but many illegals bussed in which has changed our political landscape. We are centrally located about 1 hour from the beach, 1 hour from LA, 1 hour from Palm Springs, and 1 hour from the top of the mountains, Lake Arrowhead. Many celebrities have homes there. We are the heart of the Inland Empire.
