Serious question anons.
As US citizens we can all be held liable for our actions. Growing drugs, poaching game or fishing out of season, failing to pay either fed or local taxes can all lead to confiscation of our assets. Boats, autos, guns, bank accounts and even our houses are “legally” subject to forfeiture. This is all done under the cover of law and happens on a daily basis.
To remove the financial incentive for illegal people crossing our border, illegally obtaining assets and having them subject to the same confiscation and forfeiture penalties as US citizens should be a no brainer. We have the Constitutional means to create an economic border that will be more effective than the wall, which I totally agree with!
The question is why don't we use our laws or create new ones to remove the financial incentive to end this invasion? No welfare, no housing, no healthcare, no chance of citizenship and no ability to acquire illegal assets if you come here illegally.
My answer is that there is no will by our compromised politicians even though we have the means. Not meant to be a slide, just a thought that might be helpful in the future.
