actually 7 and 9 have a lower seat count for L/NP (72, 60 and 72, 59 respectively (ABC 74, 66)). but i agree, it's over. Looks like L/NP will have the senate also.

I think they knew the actual poll numbers, and used his death to try and bolster their numbers - no evidence, just a theory, but the timing is too coincidental.
