Strange dots in the Libyan desert.

I dug a post a few days ago that got me looking into some Lat. Long. coordinates. This is one of the locations I discovered. You see nothing at this location on "Google Maps", but this site uses images that haven't been obscured.

Why would crude oil be pumped into massive burners in the middle of the desert next to thousands of acres of giant green fields?

Maybe the plants need the carbon?

Is there a carbon deficiency in the Sahara region?

Is this why we have to have the Green New Deal??
