My dear ignorant fake Jew,
Christians believe in one God. That God is Triune, and in fact quite a bit more if we take manifestations like your burning bush, your pillar of cloud and your Shekinah Glory.
Which of those is your God?
I have news for you. While Jesus never actually called himself God, and while he always gave glory, praise, and thanks to the Father, Jesus is God.
It is made clear in John 1:1. It is made clear with the name Emanuel that was prophetic of the coming Messiah. While not his exact name, Jesus was with us, and he was God…ergo…God with us. Jesus said, Before Abraham was, I AM. Jesus said he was one with the Father. Jesus said, when you've seen me, you've seen the Father. And he said, if you knew who it was you were talking to, you'd have asked me for Living Water.
Your own Ofikomen is a physical representation of the nature of the trinity and the relationship between the Messiah and God.
God saves. Yeshua.
God is not a man meant that God is not just a man, with man's limitations. A man could not have risen himself from the dead like Jesus did.
Jesus is still alive to this day. John the Baptist said, one is coming after me who is greater than I am because he was before me.
John 1:1 says that the Word (Jesus, the broken tablets of testimony) was with God…and WAS God.
You can pray to the Father. You can pray to the Son. And you can pray to the Holy Spirit, ruach ha khodesh, because these three ARE ONE.
You do not make rules for God. He makes rules for you.
The Word broken, Aaron's staff, life from death, the Golden Pot of Mana, the bread of life–and the Shekinah Glory–God manifest, all pointed to Jesus.
If you doubt that we can talk to Jesus after the ascension, consider the following:
Acts 9:
3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!”
“Yes, Lord,” he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
So you see, Jesus can hear you from heaven, and we know that Jesus and the Father are one. We know that he can talk to us wherever we are.
So you can pray to Jesus. Or you can pray to the Father in Jesus's name.
Stop going all Pharisee on us. God isn't stupid. He knows our hearts.
