According to Q yes. I'm not so sure. Seems to me the port of interest would be Port of LA. There s a much easier distribution point from there. It lies right off the Harbor Fwy. From there you can go freeway all the way to any major point. Port of LB sits next to it, but to get to a freeway you have to go across to bridges to get to either the Harbor Fwy or the LB frwy.

You're talking about Prop 13 which was to insure that older people were not taxed out of their homes. Not sure what you're saying is true on inherited property.
Secondly, after having lived in other parts of the country, the prop taxes are not so bad, It's the other bullshit taxes that kill us.

I hear ya. Had a co-worker who moved up there near the start of the tech boom. Had a really good job with one of them (forget which). He came back to SoCal about 2 years later and said it was all fucked up. Said the rent had nearly doubled in that short period of time. The rent here was high, but not that high and the weather is MUCH better.
