Double Meanings Exist: Could the M.O.A.B. also be referring directly to it's intended target? Do modern-day MOAB-ites exist?

Q has told us that , "Many in our govt worship Satan" (Q Post 3). We also know that this statement applies to the cardinal himself, COME[Y].

So who were these historical "M.O.A.B.- ites" anyway?

Brief History:

"According to Genesis 19:30–38, the ancestor of the Moabites was Lot by incest with his eldest daughter. According to the biblical account, Moab and Ammon were born to Lot and Lot's daughters in the aftermath of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible refers to both the Moabites and Ammonites as Lot's sons.

The Moabites first inhabited the rich highlands at the eastern side of the chasm of the Dead Sea. The Moabites occupied a vital place along the King's Highway, the ancient trade route connecting Egypt with Mesopotamia, Syria, and Anatolia.

Belief System:

"Chemosh was the national deity of the Moabites whose name most likely meant "destroyer," "subduer," or "fish god." The Bible refers to Moabites as the "people of Chemosh." While he is most readily associated with the Moabites, according to Judges 11:23-24, he seems to have been the national deity of the Ammonites as well. According to the Hebrew Bible, the worship of this god, "the abomination of Moab," was introduced at Jerusalem by Solomon (1 Kings 11:7), but was abolished by Josiah (2 Kings 23:13). The Moabite Stone also mentions (line 17) a female counterpart of Chemosh, Ashtar-Chemosh, and a god Nebo (line 14), probably the well-known Babylonian divinity Nabu. Chemosh, therefore, was in general a deity of the same nature as Baal.

Chemosh seems to have also had a taste for blood. In 2 Kings 3:27 human sacrifice was part of the rites of Chemosh. This practice was certainly not unique to the Moabites, as such rites were commonplace in the various Canaanite religious cults, including those of the Baals and Moloch. Mythologists and other scholars suggest that such activity may be due to the fact the Chemosh and other Canaanite gods such as the Baals, Moloch, Thammuz, and Baalzebub were all personifications of the sun or the sun's rays. According to II Kings, human sacrifices were offered to Chemosh, as by King Mesha. On this occasion, a campaign of King Jehoram of Israel (son of Ahaziah, son of Ahab) against Mesha ends with a siege at Kir-hareseth, the city in which Mesha had taken refuge. The Israelites are said to have withdrawn after Mesha sacrificed his oldest son on the city wall. The name of the father of Mesha, Chemosh-melek indicates the possibility that Chemosh and Malik (MOLOCH) were one and the same deity.

King Solomon built a "high place" for Chemosh on the hill before Jerusalem, which the Bible describes as "this detestation of Moab". King Solomon is said to have built a sanctuary to Chemosh on the Mount of Olives (I Kings 11:7, 33), which was maintained till the reform of Josiah (II Kings 23:13). The Hebrew scorn for his worship was evident in a curse from the scriptures: "the abomination of Moab." King Josiah destroyed the Israelite branch of the CULT (2 Kings 23).

"Next CHEMOS, th' obscene dread of MOABS Sons…

PEOR his other Name, when he entic'd

ISRAEL in SITTIM on their march from NILE

To do him wanton rites, which cost them woe.

Yet thence his lustful Orgies he enlarg'd

Even to that Hill of scandal [the Mount of Olives], by the Grove

Of MOLOCH homicide, lust hard by hate;

Till good JOSIAH drove them thence to Hell."
