>>6533007 LB - Jesus and the Talmud…

The Talmud was not written down until around 150 AD or so. But they Jews were developing there "Talmud" over time from 600 BC forward. Jesus called this the "traditions of the elders". It is also called the oral law and nowhere does the OT say God gave Moses an oral law along with a written law. The Law of Moses (Torah) is a limitation on Jewish behavior so they concocted a way around it using "case law". Finally the case law was codified into the Talmud and Kabbalah.

Jesus spoke out against this. If the Jews were not, or are not, following Moses' Law then who are they claiming to be? They have no nexus to God.

Jesus and Paul tried to repent the Rabbis back to oral law. Paul never said to not keep the Law. He said to not keep oral law as he told us specifically in Acts 24:14 where he says he follows everything WRITTEN in the law.

I see it this way…….Q was teaching us. His knowledge is many levels above us. After a while a teacher can get tired of teaching. Especially if he does not get the right feedback, or if he thinks the people are not getting it, or for simply burnout.

He has told us we already know way more than we know. So maybe he has reached a plateau - UNTIL he gets another wind.

My thougts.
