"Broward County officials described the plans Thursday in a press release, saying the Trump administration plans to release asylum seekers caught along the southern U.S. border into the county. A month earlier, Trump floated the idea of shipping undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities that limit their cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. Neither Palm Beach nor Broward counties fit that description, but politically they're enemy territory for Trump and Republicans.

“That is so typically Trump,” Farmer said. “When the facts don’t fit the narrative, you slightly adjust the narrative.”

Broward County state Rep. Evan Jenne, opposed the move but said the county will do what it can to help those sent its way.

“He has been threatening this for a while, and I’m sure his voters will think it’s a great idea,” said Jenne (D-Dania Beach). “We will do what we can to help them, I’m sure with no help from the federal government.”

Jenne called the Trump policy a form of “fiscal punishment,” a sentiment shared by other regional officials.

A statement from Broward County said Trump “has threatened to send people who illegally cross the border to communities that are considered immigrant friendly.”

"Democrats, meanwhile, blasted President Donald Trump’s administration on Thursday, with one describing the plan as “political payback.” Broward and Palm Beach counties are Democratic strongholds.

DeSantis said Friday, however, the plan came from federal agencies, rather than the White House.

“This is not something that came down from the White House, it is something that came out of the agencies,” he said. “Sometimes this stuff happens, and this is something I am ultimately going to have to talk (about) with the president.”

DeSantis said local and state resources would be strained as a result of the federal government “dumping unlawful migrants into our state.”

“I think that it will impact resources, the schools, the health care, law enforcement and state agencies,” the governor said.

The first-term governor, a former U.S. House member, said Congress’ failure to pass immigration reform should not be a burden for Floridians.

“We are really focused on using the resources we have to help the quality of life of Floridians, and to just be put on the hook for things that really are resolved at the Congress’ level, and failed policy at the federal level, that is not acceptable,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis also has been a major supporter of banning sanctuary-city policies and intends to sign the bill that passed the Legislature."

"Since President Donald Trump has been sworn in on Jan. 20, authorities have arrested an unprecedented number of sexual predators involved in child sex trafficking rings in the United States. This should be one of the biggest stories in the national news. Instead, the mainstream media has barely, if at all, covered any of these mass pedophile arrests. This begs the question – why?

As a strong advocate for sex crime victims, I’ve been closely following the pedophile arrests since Trump took office. There have been a staggering 1,500-plus arrests in one short month; compare that to less than 400 sex trafficking-related arrests in 2014 according to the FBI. It’s been clear to me for awhile that Trump would make human trafficking a top priority. On October 8, 2012, Trump tweeted:

"Got to do something about these missing children grabbed by the perverts. Too many incidents – fast trial, death penalty."

My suspicions were confirmed on Feb. 23 when Trump gave a press conference from the White House addressing how human trafficking is a “dire problem” domestically and internationally. He gave further confirmation when he said: “Dedicated men and women across the federal government have focused on this for some time as you know – it’s been much more focused over the last four weeks.” Trump’s press conference was barely a blip in the mainstream media and the massive arrests have been almost completely ignored by the MSM altogether. Here’s a rundown of some of the massive sex trafficking rings that have been broken up since Trump took office."

"Law enforcement officers apprehended 169 persons related to sex trafficking activities ahead of Super Bowl LIII, highlighting an issue that experts are calling a “public health issue.”

More than 25 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as seven non-government organizations cooperated together to apprehend traffickers, according to an FBI announcement Tuesday. Law enforcement made 169 arrests between Jan. 23 and Feb. 2, according to the FBI.

Twenty-six of those arrests were of traffickers and 34 of individuals attempting to engage in sex acts with minors, according to the announcement. Nine adult and nine minor victims of trafficking were saved, according to the report.

Roughly 100,000 children, most ages 12 to 14 are trafficked in the U.S., according to the U.S. Institute Against Human Trafficking (USIAHT).

Older “Romeo” groomers are trained to prey on runaways and children who are forced to have “survival sex” in order to stay off the streets, USIAHT co-founders Geoffrey Rogers and Kevin Malone told The Daily Caller News Foundation in a January interview. Roughly 70 percent of sex trafficking victims are in or have been in the foster care system, according to Rogers.

Gangs, including MS-13, are major players in the sex trafficking market, according to Rogers.

“This is a public health issue,” Rogers told TheDCNF.

Law enforcement conducted their operation in the week leading up to Super Bowl, during which trafficking activities typically increase. “Sex trafficking is a supply answer to a demand problem. … And this goes for all major sporting events, including the Super Bowl,” Rogers told TheDCNF in a Thursday email. “While we see a significantly increased level of media attention on sex trafficking surrounding the Super Bowl, we know all major sporting events are hubs for sex trafficking.”

"Democrat Michigan congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is facing nationwide calls for her resignation or removal from office after Big League Politics exposed that Tlaib lied about her address in order to illegally register to vote, run for office, and represent a state House district that she did not live in — violating federal and state laws in the process. Rashida Tlaib illegally pretended to represent a state House district in Detroit even though she lived the whole time in suburban Dearborn, which should have led to her removal from office in the state legislature. The Michigan Bureau of Elections is aware of the growing scandal, and current state senator Jon Bumstead of Michigan put word to BLP through an intermediary that Rashida Tlaib did in fact violate the law.

The petition “IMPEACH RASHIDA TLAIB” for her fake residency scandal, which was created by MRS. AMERICAN CITIZEN, has reached 318,536 signatures on Change.org as of press time."
