Yes, it is suspicious. When people become dependent on opioids their tolerance sky rockets but when they sober up their tolerance actually lowers further then when they were originally sober. This is cause for the relapse overdose which is sadly the most common way to overdose.
Being an addict or former addict has severe disadvantages.
