I don't believe that the power outage at Manchester Airport in the UK is a coincidence. The airport should still be able to function on backup generators with no problem.
Nothing in the air around Manchester, except for this flight from Guernseyโฆ
G-COBO has been diverted from Manchester and is heading South. Pretty much all traffic headed to Manchester is being diverted but this flight from Guernsey caught my attention and spidey senses.
The Guernsey flight G-COBO (Aurigny 679) could have landed at Liverpool or Chester, but it appears top be headed back towards Guernsey at angels 17. Tracking. Why would it fly all the way back to Guernsey?
Something's odd with this plane. On ADS-B Exchange it's listed as flight AUR79B, but on Flightaware it's listed as AUR679.
Comparison of flight numbers.
G-COBO over the Avonmouth estuary and does not seem to be heading for Cardiff or Bristol.
"Aurigny 679, this is Manchester, we have fuelling problems at the moment, do you wish to divert to Liverpool of Chester, or maybe Birmingham?"
"Fuck it, I'm going back to Guernsey."
Does anyone else think that this is wierd?
It makes me wonder who (or maybe what) is on that plane that doesn't want to land anywhere but Manchester.
Roger that. G-COBO is now out over the Channel and is definitely headed back to Guernsey. it's about 70 miles out.
G-COBO should be on the ground by 11pm UK time. About 15 minutes tops.
