Gas. Too big for a meth lab. Easy insurance scam. Turn off the pilot lights and crank up the gas. Eventually when the concentration is high enough and it's permeated everything one of the electronics in the house will generate a spark. Even the tiniest spark will do it once there's enough gas and it's had time to get into everything. Meth lab would blow out the windows and other minor damage and probably start a fire too.
