The Spanish ambassador in Venezuela with Zapatero charged 3.8 million in Panama for fictitious advice to Hugo Chávez

RaĂşl Morodo articulated most of the operations through a Panamanian society with an account in Switzerland and controlled by his son, Alejo, who has been arrested

According to documents credited to EL MUNDO, the payments made by the Government of Hugo Chávez to the son of the socialist diplomat Raúl Morodo , who was Spain's ambassador in Venezuela under the presidency of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, took place in a almost immediately after his father left office, in August 2008. From that moment and until 2013, dozens of transfers took place due to supposed work of "legal advice". Specifically, the Morodo simulated work to implement the Venezuelan company in Europe , specifically in Spain and Portugal , but did not provide any service.

The most important payments made by the Venezuelan Government were articulated through Alejo Morodo through the Panamanian instrumental society called Furnival Barristers Corporation , with address at Plaza 2000 Building , 50 TH ST . This company had an account at the Credit Suisse in Geneva with the following number: CH 67048351435769620100. It also paid invoices to the Venezuelan oil company through its Madrid office, Aequitas Abogados y Consultores Asociados, SL .
