Bakers could change the format if they want extended notables. But the 5000 character limit per paste is a hard limit as far as I know.
When I bake (which is rarely), I go to considerable trouble to write concise headlines, omitting unnecessary words and sometimes rephrasing them.
When I mark posts as notable, I do the same, giving baker an option to use the concise notable if they prefer it over a different headline version.
I never put trailing periods after each notable – just wastes some of those precious 5000 characters IMO.
There's one baker who does this.
If that's how you feel, anon, you should go do something else that gives you joy. No one forced you to lose job or friends. You feel betrayed because you had date expectations? Whose fault is that? You blame others for what has occurred in your life? Whose fault is that?
This job is for those whose life circumstances permit them to spend a significant proportion of their waking hours on the board. It's for those who feel a joy in performing this calling for our country and our world, not for those who feel that the whole operation is a downer that should never have happened.
