3) women were paddled for not completing tasks. salzman heard of one instance of raniere kicking a woman on the floor, apparently as a way to break her "prideful" state
4) prosecutors then went over a "book" DOS slaves were working on, that outlined the philosophy of the group. themes of total obedience and surrender, and collateral so damaging women should rather die than have it revealed.

6) lauren testified she first tried to submit a confession as collateral. admitted she helped force-feed valium to a woman who had a psychological break during a NXIVM class
7) she testified she submitted this confession because it implicated the people who were most important to her in her life, keith raniere and her mom nancy salzman, who advised not to take her to a hospital.
8) this collateral was rejected because it would hurt raniere if t was ever released. she submitted naked photos instead.
