the graphic isn't directed at you, of course.

but feel free to use it when people are whining about baker issues that they do nothing to help with.

as always, you got the board and we go with what you say.

Realestate price manipulation would be one reason to try and collapse that big dam.

It woudl effect home values, which are extremely high, in very many areas if the water distribution system went into crisis.

Californis would do better to have a highspeed water shuttle system, or small light rail in the urban places. The train has always been a boondoggle.

A dig on the California water allotments showed me that the realestate valuations are based upon virtually free water for dry areas. the water goes to the district, the district can profit on it.

It seems like a review of the whole system needs to be done.

The rail was a boondoggle and a distraction. It's the water and the canals and the rivers and lakes and hydro that's really important in California.

Everyone has cars in the Central Valley. They dont' need high speed rails.

the 'cash out' of a pension ought to be reported, and is a taxible event.

how does it effect a Congressman.

If nothing else his financial situation shows the abuse of the student loan system.

I would approach it like that, what is his reason for not paying it down? Does he hope to wait it out the 25 years you need to wait before you can be declared a dead-beat. He's not paying back the student loans?

how come his income isn't garnished?

are congresspeople exempt from student loan debt?

Is there now a conflict of interest with him voting on these matters?

maybe the tax law should be written differently and tax the 'gain' one gets by not paying back a student loan. So if he were to have had to pay 10 grand that year, add that to his income and tax him on it.

I don't know. I figure he got there through voter fraud. I have a lot of faith that Californians will figure out how to crack open the vault of voter roles and figure out how it is that conservative places are suddenly Democrat when the population clearly doesn't want them?

the idea of him as a student load dead-beat who is now having to recuse him self from voting on student loan issues could be a wedge to use against him.
