These attacks come in waves, they cannot sustain interest for long periods of time but it appears you are in the midst of one.

Next, you will get waves of people posting illegal shit, threats of violence. And they will use that to assert control. The reddit admins did a pretty good job of moderating that content, but it didn’t matter in the end. The site still used it as a justification. They only do this to put pressure on mods and admin and they escalate as each attack fails, until it doesn’t.
