I will extrapolate on the "social" portion.
Obviously why most of them are attracted to
socialism is they either don't want to think for themselves, or, IMO, by not having to think for themselves and having someone tell them how, what to think, they rationalize not thinking as time saved to pay attention to social media habbenings. Rationalized as, "I have apps to think for me. When to eat, sleep, where to go, what to eat etc. More important issues in their mind. Who's watching me, who can I try to impress with my social dealings.
