You and I both know that is a one way street and there is no going back when it gets ugly.

Do you think other nations are going to sit idly by while we kill ourselves? Do you think it will all go as easily as imagined? Sure, the initial decapitation will be done in days/weeks - but a full route would take a year or more. By that time, you have the global coalitions putting pressure on you one way or another.

Sanctions and tariffs from the EU and the globalist order. If we succeed in bucking the system here, even very quickly and cleanly and the progs get over it quicker than anyone estimates - we are still going to be dealing with the economic reality in front of us. Much of our machinery for factories comes from Europe and Japan. The economic system as been structured to keep countries as codependent on each other as possible. This prevents one from bucking the global order and going off on its own, as the several dozen little things they need from another country are completely absent from their in-house manufacturing/agricultural/etc capacity.

Even if the final outcome is what you say, we need time to rebuild key industry before we will be able to break out from under the globalist economy. This is why steel is important, among other things. Aluminum, silicon die fabs, all the things we need if we don't want to be trying to minecraft this shit while China can go Command&Conquer.
