>Thats no trump tower… ITS A SPACE STATION!

71MW is a lot of power. A good chunk of the city at any given time.

Trump Tower Chicago has 98 stories (say 100 including underground - easy arithmatic.) It has 2.6M square feet of space. 71MW would be 27.3W per square foot. So imagine a 1000 sq. ft. suite. That would need 27KW to power? That's 20-25 toasters all toasting at the same time, all the time.

No fucking way.

>I can't imagine that they'd still need to dump 70 megawatts after all that.

Agreed. Doesn't direct, unimpeded sunlight at sea level deliver approximately 100W of photon energy per square foot? We could compute a maximum for the whole building, ignoring reflection (for fun) and I would hazard a guess that it doesn't even come close to 71MW.

So…100 floors (@10' each), 161 feet across (sqrt(26,000) per floor). That gives us a side cross section of roughly 161,000 square feet, or 16.1MW of solar energy. That's with direct sunlight on one side with no reflection – 100% absorption.

Also, keep in mind that 71MW number was 24/7. The sun is only out 50% of the time and there's a bell curve to when it can deliver direct sunlight.

So yeah….not even close to 71MW. That article is shit.

>The fucking footage speaks for itself, dipshit!

It isn't very compelling. Looks like a 6th grader did it in a video editor. Or a CIA nigger shill.
