Might the recent Christopher Wray fiasco (he wouldn't call it spying) be a show?

Think about it, optics are good, and the FBI is going to be going through a rough patch with the revelations to come.

I just don't believe Trump was mad at him. It's better for Wray to keep some distance. Then they can't accuse him of being a political hack, like James Comey.
