Thoughts about this "free speech" board.
This isn't really a free speech board, because there are some vile things that are if fact censored here. So let's not pretend that it is. It's just the the bar is set low. As has been pointed out many times, this low bar is a deterrent to would-be contributors and also puts the whole Q movement in a negative light.
To those who feel that free speech means that almost anything goes, just compare with what POTUS is trying to do at the border. "Free speech" is equivalent to "open borders", but most of us understand that we want a higher bar on the borders, literally. Instead of some combination of poor, uneducated, diseased, criminal, parasitic freeloaders who can't speak English, don't we want the majority of immigrants to be able to assimilate and contribute? I don't see the difference.
A civil, respectful environment actually fosters high-quality work and dialogue. This can only happen with standards enforced by moderators. We actually have that now, but the chosen standards are close to gutter-level and do not bode well for the quality of society Q proposes to reveal.
