Professor Warns of Growing Progressive Terrorist Support

A May 8 incident at San Diego State University (SDSU) highlights a trend of glamorizing Palestinian terrorists on college campuses, SDSU English Professor Peter C. Herman wrote Saturday in the Times of San Diego news site.

He pointed to an email from SDSU's Women's Resource Center which included the slogan "From the River to the Sea Palestine Will Be Free" and a photo of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist Leila Khaled clutching an AK-47. Khaled hijacked two airliners in 1970. Khaled and the PFLP been active in the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement that seeks to economically and politically strangle Israel. She remains a member of the PFLP's political bureau.

PFLP terrorists also gained notoriety for the 1976 hijacking of a Paris-bound Air France flight that was diverted to Entebbe, Uganda. It also claimed joint responsibility with Hamas for a deadly East Jerusalem attack in 2017 that left an Israeli female police officer dead and several others were wounded.

Coming so soon after last month's Poway synagogue shooting near San Diego, the email's imagery "seems especially shocking," Herman wrote. "But how are we to respond to a glorification of violence in a university-sanctioned newsletter?"

He invoked a 1984 statement by Abu Iyad, leader of the Black September terrorist group responsible for the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, who told Radio Amman: "The Zionists took Palestine inch by inch. And we must retrieve it inch by inch. We believe that Palestine, from the river to the sea, is our country."

The PFLP's goal is Israel's complete destruction.

Romanian coast guards open fire on Turkish fishermen

A video showing Romanian coast guards opening fire on a sailing Turkish fishing boat with rubber bullets and live rounds has emerged.

Three Turkish fishermen were wounded, and the fishing boat, which had set sail from Turkey’s Black Sea province of Ordu on Feb. 20, was damaged by the bullets.

The incident took place approximately 50 miles off the Romanian coast, while the fishing boat was sailing in international waters, according to statements by the fishers.

Fisherman İsa Memiş was wounded by a live round on his hand, while Serdal Memiş, the captain of the fishing boat, and crew member Samet Demir were injured by rubber bullets, the video recorded by a mobile phone showed.

The fishing boat, carrying eight panicked fishermen, anchored in Istanbul after escaping the Romanian coast guard boat.

Turkey fulfills its responsibilities for F-35 program: Defense Minister

Emphasizing that F-35 fighter jets were developed under an ongoing joint project, Turkey fulfills its obligations of the program, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on late May 21.

“We, as the Republic of Turkey, fulfill our responsibilities in a serious and sincere manner,” he told a group of journalists.

Turkey had four pilots and 47 military personnel in the United States to receive training, he said. The jets will later be deployed in Turkey’s eastern Malatya province. Turkey’s push to buy the S-400 air defense missile system from Russia has strained relations with the United States, a NATO ally.

U.S. defense officials worry that integrating Russian technology with Turkey’s Western equipment could pose a security breach by making it easier for the Russians to intercept U.S. communications and to target U.S. jets. They also argue the Russian-made system is incompatible with NATO defense equipment.

WATCH Special Forces storm terrorists’ hideout in central Russia

An FSB assault team descended on a terrorists’ safe house outside the city of Vladimir, killing two militants who were set to carry out attacks in Russia. The shootout was caught on camera.

Footage released by Russia’s National Anti-terrorism Committee (NAC) shows four Special Forces officers entering the hideout near Vladimir, a city 200km (125 miles) east of Moscow. The operatives can be seen throwing a flash grenade into an open doorway, at which point the video jumps, skipping scenes of the shootout.

The NAC says the two suspects, who allegedly prepared terrorist attacks, refused to lay down weapons and opened fire, leaving the FSB officers with no choice but to use lethal force. The video also shows unloaded pistols, improvised explosive devices, and bags of ammonia found inside the house.

WARNING: The footage contains images that some may find disturbing.

Why Iran Objects to a Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation

News that the Trump administration is considering designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization drew objections from Iran despite the religious differences between the Sunni and Shia strongholds. Nevertheless, they both share financial alliances, radical ideologies, global domination dreams and a common enemy in the form of the West and Israel.

"The U.S. is not in position to (..) start naming others as terror organizations and we reject by any attempt by the U.S. in this regard," Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif told reporters earlier this month. "The U.S. is supporting the biggest terrorist in the region, that is Israel."

For four decades, Iran's main strength was not a strong army or a robust economy, but its militant proxies around the Middle East. Close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood extended Iran's reach and provided the Islamic Republic with a softer political power within nearly 80 countries where the group operates, especially in regions inaccessible to Iran such as Europe and the United States. The potential designation of Muslim Brotherhood will cut such an access to Iran. A stronger Muslim Brotherhood is beneficial for the Iranian regime and the Islamist axis, which now includes Iran, Turkey, and Qatar, said Egyptian-based Iranian affairs expert Mohamed Banaya.

"Iran's rejection … comes within the framework of the axis of political Islamism, which brings together Qatar, Iran and Turkey on the one hand and Islamist political groups, foremost among them the Muslim Brotherhood," he said.

Chinese Spying Chips Found Hidden On Servers Used By US Companies

A media report today revealed details of a significant supply chain attack which appears to be one of the largest corporate espionage and hardware hacking programs from a nation-state.

According to a lengthy report published today by Bloomberg, a tiny surveillance chip, not much bigger than a grain of rice, has been found hidden in the servers used by nearly 30 American companies, including Apple and Amazon.

The malicious chips, which were not part of the original server motherboards designed by the U.S-based company Super Micro, had been inserted during the manufacturing process in China.

The report, based on a 3-year-long top-secret investigation in the United States, claims that the Chinese government-affiliated groups managed to infiltrate the supply chain to install tiny surveillance chips to motherboards which ended up in servers deployed by U.S. military, U.S. intelligence agencies, and many U.S. companies like Apple and Amazon.

Greenpeace Co-Founder Tells Congress To Ignore UN’s Latest Extinction Warning

Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore will tell House lawmakers an alarming United Nations report on biodiversity is political activism masquerading as credible science, according to written testimony.

“It is clear that the highly exaggerated claims of the [U.N.] are not so much out of concern for endangered species as they are a front for a radical political, social, and economic ‘transformation’ of our entire civilization,” Moore will tell lawmakers Wednesday, according to written testimony The Daily Caller News Foundation obtained.

Moore is set to testify in front of the House Committee on Natural Resources, sitting alongside U.N. scientists who recently issued an alarming report warning that 1 million species were threatened with extinction.
