On purpose. For better or worse that's what it looks like to me and I understand why it has to be this way.

POTUS will be the first President in US history to be impeached and win a 2nd term anyway.

Because impeachments are not convictions.

And impeaching someone for following the rules laid out in the constitution sounds like grounds for calling in mil tribunals to deal with these traitors.

I think the optics will look the same as they did during the vote certifications at the last mid-terms, where dems tried to threaten a confrontation but then backed off when they realized proceeding would uncover the vote fraud evidence in a very public setting.
