My guesses:

Suspect POTUS gave them fair warning to stop all the Russian Collusion crap as he is getting ready to declas everything that will show it was a crime from their side at the outset.

They keep up the delusion, they will be destroyed as the actual proof comes out. POTUS was offering them a graceful way out before they are blown out of the water. Just wash your hands of it. The more they hang on to the delusion, the more (including stuff on them) will be released.

Hope they didn't blink. Hope they won't soften their rhetoric. Hope POTUS nukes them with declass.
