What is this obsession with Red Shoes?

I found couple of instances that may be related to elites wearing it. It probably has some symbolic meaning but what.

#1

Some anon pointed to The Red Shoes (1948) film. Wikipedia has an entry about it. The entry also refers to a ballet with same name.

There is a demonic shoemaker which has produced a pair of red shoes. Gives them to a lady. Which then can't stop dancing, forgets his bf, goes with other men, tramples his bf, tries to remove the shoes and dies. Then the demonic shoemakes fetches the shoes and gives them to a next victim.

There could be something symbolic that the red shoes refer to uncontrollable actions & sex. Sort of fitting with the hollywood & elites urge to have sex as much as possible. Without much control, ie. with illegal subjects.

Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn list Red Shoes as part of an initiation process

http:// thelemicgoldendawn.net/zelator/zelatorceremony.htm

Thelema is a social or spiritual philosophy most often regarded as a religion — a new religious movement in particular, developed by Alesteir Crowley.

Main teaching of Thelema is 'Do what thou wilt'. There is probably few possible interpretations.

  • thou = one who is addressed

  • wilt = second-person singular simple present form of will

  • will - has multiple meanings/usages (future, expressing inevitable events, intend/desire/wish something to happen)

Thelema = will in greek

Are they teaching that you can do whatever you want? Whatever you are destined to do?

SELF-INITIATION CEREMONY OF THE ZELATOR

Required:

For the Candidate: Black Tau Robe. Red Shoes or Socks. (Note: Black pertains to the Outer Order, referring to the darkness of Matter, which conceals the Light. Red pertains to Mars and to the God Horus. Mars is the Planet of the Warrior and Horus is the Warrior God. Thus wearing Red shoes or socks indicates that you are on the Path of the Warrior Magician.)

Other meanings, possible. Haven't found yet.

Whatever the symbolism is related to the red shoes it probably is there, and it could be related to Thelema and Aleister Crowley… and whatever follows from his teachings.

…. will investigate this more
