Oversight involves subpoenas, demanding records, papers, and calling people in to answer your questions…oversight is done for people who answer to you, and the President is a COEQUAL branch of government. He does not answer to Congress and they do not answer to him in this respect.

They have the power of impeachment, which they can use. Their oversight authority pertains the Executive agencies and departments which they create BY STATUTE and have oversight authority as a result. The President and Vice-President are fundamental Article II creatures and DO NOT answer to Congressional oversight. The press is trying to lie to their audience and maintain that the President has a Constitutional obligation to answer to Congress. It's a fucking lie.
