The reason they use "cover-up" is because that was how Nixon was allegedly brought down.
Of course he was forced out of office by constant drumming by the Media, but the evidence was what? Sparse.
With Trump there is nothing. But basically the same with Nixon. They claimed they had tapes which showed he lied about the breakin at the Dem headquarters [done by the same dudes involved with plot against Castro, "Bay of Pigs" who were then turned to kill Kennedy. At least they were part of that plot.
It looks like Nixon was set-up. Maybe Ford, his successor was seen to be more pliant to the will of H. W. Bush, since Ford was a major player in the cover-up of the killing of JFK
Anyway, that's why Pelosi in her stoned-out state thinks it's so cute to call out "cover - up"
