But they can't, because Trump demanded they stop investigating, and pass legislation.

But they can't, because then Trump will have legislative successes on top of administrative successes on top of economic successes, and will have a GOP supermajority in his second term.

That they will not be involved in grifting.

And that $50,000,000,000 cloud of money will be beyond their grasp.
