MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. Washington is provoking Tehran to sternly retaliate, trying to look for a reason for direct confrontation, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.

"The United States is escalating the situation by sending aircraft carriers and bombers to the Persian Gulf region. These actions are accompanied by war-mongering statements and groundless and unproven accusations addressed to Iran saying that the country is involved in some sabotaging operations on the adjacent territories and posing threats to American diplomats in the neighboring Iraq," Zakharova pointed out.

"It seems that by adopting sanctions, applying military pressure and resorting to sharp and aggressive rhetoric, Washington is deliberately provoking Iran into sterner retaliation measures and looking for a reason to engage in direct confrontation. This is a very dangerous policy. Not only is it destroying the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program, but also can result in broader destabilization across the whole Middle Eastern Region," the diplomat stressed.

The political confrontation between Iran and the United States led to a sharp exacerbation of the situation in the Persian Gulf Region after Washington made the decision to send a strike navy battleship group led by the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. The US administration underlined that they are not striving for conflict with Iran, but will defend the US interests in the region. Pentagon described the move as the response to the evidence of heightened readiness of Iran to carry out offensives against the US forces and US interests. On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in an interview with CNN that Washington is engaged in dangerous games by expanding its military presence in the Gulf Region.

Washington State becomes first state to say ‘yes’ to human compost

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed legislation on Tuesday making the state the first in the country to legalize human composting.

The law would recognize “natural organic reduction,” sometimes referred to as liquid cremation, as an alternative to traditional burying or cremation, which releases harmful chemicals into the air.

The process uses wood chips, straw and other substances to turn the human body into soil, giving families an environmentally friendly alternative to burial or cremation.

The new law, which goes into effect on May 1, 2020, would allow loved ones to keep the soil to possibly plant vegetables, flowers or even a tree.

The bill, titled “concerning human remains,” passed with bipartisan majorities in both chambers of the state legislature: 80-16 in the House and 38-11 in the Senate.

State lawmakers said the bill was inspired by Katrina Spade, who came up with the idea for human composting as a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She went on to found Recompose, a nonprofit that aims to create the country’s first public organic reduction funeral home, according to its website.

“Recomposition allows us to give back to the earth that supports us all our lives,” the company said on its website. “In addition to creating a system that will gently return us to the earth, we encourage participation and strive to make the experience transparent and meaningful for everyone.”

Inslee, who is currently running for president, has made climate change and environmental concerns the main platform of his campaign.

Mass Meditation Leads to More Societal Peace, New Study Shows

The group practice of the Transcendental Meditation® and TM-Sidhi® programs in Cambodia between 1993 and 2008 was associated with a 96.2% decline in sociopolitical violence in that war-torn country compared to violence in the preceding three years, according to a new peer-reviewed study published in Studies in Asian Social Science.

According to the study, the likelihood that this reversal in the rising 1990-1992 trend of violence occurred randomly was one chance in 10 million, suggesting that meditation can indeed have a coherence-creating effect on society.

Effect recognized by government officials

“Maharishi Vedic University was established by Maharishi in Cambodia on January 1, 1993, for the declared purpose of bringing peace and prosperity to Cambodia,” said study author Lee Fergusson. “The positive influence of the MVU meditating groups was recognized by officials of the Cambodian government.”

The late King Norodom Sihanouk was quoted as saying, “Maharishi Vedic University is playing an important role in human resource development and in [the] restoration of peace and expansion of prosperity throughout the country.”

Up to 1,250 students participated

The reduction in violence began in January 1993, when more than 550 students began practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique together twice daily in a group at Maharishi Vedic University in Cambodia. Also, 100-200 students practiced the TM-Sidhi program together twice a day in a group as part of their Consciousness-BasedSM education curriculum starting in 1994.

Ontario Considers Legislation Criminalizing Public Displays of Faith for Christians

The nation of Canada has been giving us a chilling vision of what it looks like when a western nation completely succumbs to the dangerous ideology of multiculturalism, the cultural Marxism that always inevitably restricts the rights of some to pave the way for the rights of others.

There is no equality in multiculturalism.

Christians have faced increasing adversity in Canada as of late, but new proposed legislation that would make it a crime to publicly express one’s faith is a chilling new low.

In the proposed legislation, it would become illegal for Christians to make any public displays which are deemed hateful to Muslims, LGBT people, and other victim groups as designated by the left. The bill has been dubbed “Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019,” is part of Canada’s anti-hate laws and would give the government complete freedom to ban all things Christian.

This would mean any Christian protests or demonstrations could potentially be criminalized. Public prayer vigils could be outlawed.

How is this even being considered in a modern, Western nation?!

“The problem with this bill, however, lies in the fact that the definition of “hate” is uncertain under Canadian law. As a result, unfortunately, the use of the word “hate” can be a useful tool for some to prevent differing views from being expressed. That is, the word “hate” can be used to silence opposing views expressed when, in fact, the views are simply a reasonable expression of belief.

This concern is based on actual experience. Canadians have already experienced the contempt shown by the Supreme Court of Canada towards Section 2 of the Charter of Rights which provides for freedom of opinion, expression and religion. In the Trinity Western Christian University case (2018), a private Christian university’s moral covenant was deemed hateful and discriminating. In the Bill Whatcott case (2013), the Supreme Court of Canada concluded that the effects of an expression used, not the communicator’s intent, are what is relevant. The court went on to conclude that “truthful statements and sincerely held beliefs do not affect the finding of “hate”. Mr. Whatcott merely expressed in his pamphlet the well-established facts about homosexuality which the court held to be “hateful”. It is worth noting that the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, presumably consisting of equally learned judges, had previously concluded that the pamphlet was not hateful. The Supreme Court of Canada prides itself on being a “progressive” court and has an established bias as evidenced in a series of decisions that have struck down laws based on traditional values. There is little likelihood that the court will protect tradition-based groups if they are denied the right to demonstrate at the provincial legislature.”

The Congressional Cemetery hosted the District's first-ever goat yoga sessions, after the D.C. Council did away with a longstanding no-touching-goats policy.

WASHINGTON — A gentle breeze blew through the Congressional Cemetery in Southeast Washington, a more than two-century-old site whose weathered headstones stand in tribute to some of the District’s most notable residents, from John Philip Sousa to Marion Barry. It was a balmy Saturday morning and the atmosphere was solemn — except for the bleating of no fewer than 15 baby goats.

They were there, of course, for yoga.

It was Washington’s first foray into goat yoga, an activity that pairs meditative poses with what amounts to an all-ages petting zoo. The concept originated in 2016 in Oregon, at a birthday party. It was never meant to be a thing. But now it’s a thing.

For Paul Williams, the director of the Congressional Cemetery, goat yoga was a long time coming. Until recently, District law forbade the activity under a long-standing no-touching-goats policy.

“I tried everything I could for about a year to get goat yoga,” Williams said, “and the Health Department just put up every obstacle they possibly could.” He recalled meeting with a room full of lawyers who “had the law books all spread out on the table and said, ‘This is not happening.'”

The cemetery already hosted classes among the tombstones — “Yoga Mortis,” they call it — and found a loophole in D.C. regulations that allowed them to use goats to clear out invasive plants.

But the no-touch policy, based on the Animal Control Act of 1979, meant goat yoga was out of the question.

Journalists Charged With 15 Felonies For Undercover Videos Exposing Planned Parenthood Take Hit In Court

ournalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, who exposed suspect dealings at taxpayer-funded abortion mill Planned Parenthood via undercover videos, were denied a request to halt criminal prosecution, a press release from The Thomas More Society said on Friday.

Last month, the California Supreme Court issued a stay in the high-profile case based on "political bias and selective prosecution." But now the case is moving forward.

Daleiden and Merritt were hit with 15 felony charges in March of 2017 for their undercover work. The charges were widely decried for their threat to journalists, including by the left-wing Los Angeles Times. "Felony charges are a disturbing overreach for the duo behind the Planned Parenthood sting videos," a headline for the outlet warned.

Vice President and Senior Counsel at the Thomas More Society Peter Breen, who is part of Mr. Daleiden’s legal team, blasted the denial to cease prosecution.

"This decision to deny David Daleiden’s Petition for Review means that [California Attorney General] Xavier Becerra, as Planned Parenthood's prosecutor-in-chief, will be able to continue his unconstitutional harassment of David, bringing charges against him that don't pass the 'red face test,'" said Breen.

AG Becerra is an ally of Planned Parenthood; he took over for now-presidential contender Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA). Live Action reports on the potential conflict of interest:

Becerra has publicly promised to “stand with Planned Parenthood,” and both he and his predecessor, now Senator Kamala Harris, have received thousands of dollars in campaign donations from the pro-abortion organization. Both Harris and Becerra maintained their close relationship with Planned Parenthood and its entities even after proceeding with the investigation against Daleiden and Merritt. According to Daleiden’s representation, the Thomas More Society, Planned Parenthood even sponsored and hosted Becerra’s election night victory party.

Liberty Counsel, an organization representing Merritt, blasted the decision to move forward with the case as "selective and discriminatory."

“Mass Sterilization”: Kenyan Doctors Find Anti-fertility Agent in UN Tetanus Vaccine

According to LifeSiteNews, a Catholic publication, the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association is charging UNICEF and WHO with sterilizing millions of girls and women under cover of an anti-tetanus vaccination program sponsored by the Kenyan government.

The Kenyan government denies there is anything wrong with the vaccine, and says it is perfectly safe.

The Kenya Catholic Doctors Association, however, saw evidence to the contrary, and had six different samples of the tetanus vaccine from various locations around Kenya sent to an independent laboratory in South Africa for testing.

The results confirmed their worst fears: all six samples tested positive for the HCG antigen. The HCG antigen is used in anti-fertility vaccines, but was found present in tetanus vaccines targeted to young girls and women of childbearing age. Dr. Ngare, spokesman for the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association, stated in a bulletin released November 4:

“This proved right our worst fears; that this WHO campaign is not about eradicating neonatal tetanus but a well-coordinated forceful population control mass sterilization exercise using a proven fertility regulating vaccine. This evidence was presented to the Ministry of Health before the third round of immunization but was ignored.” (Source.)

Dr. Ngare brought up several points about the mass tetanus vaccination program in Kenya that caused the Catholic doctors to become suspicious:

Dr. Ngare told LifeSiteNews that several things alerted doctors in the Church’s far-flung medical system of 54 hospitals, 83 health centres, and 17 medical and nursing schools to the possibility the anti-tetanus campaign was secretly an anti-fertility campaign.

Why, they ask does it involve an unprecedented five shots (or “jabs” as they are known, in Kenya) over more than two years and why is it applied only to women of childbearing years, and why is it being conducted without the usual fanfare of government publicity?

“Usually we give a series three shots over two to three years, we give it anyone who comes into the clinic with an open wound, men, women or children.” said Dr. Ngare.

But it is the five vaccination regime that is most alarming. “The only time tetanus vaccine has been given in five doses is when it is used as a carrier in fertility regulating vaccines laced with the pregnancy hormone, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) developed by WHO in 1992.” (Source.)

It should be noted that UNICEF and WHO distribute these vaccines for free, and that there are financial incentives for the Kenyan government to participate in these programs. When funds from the UN are not enough to purchase yearly allotments of vaccines, an organization started and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI, provides extra funding for many of these vaccination programs in poor countries. Also, there was no outbreak of tetanus in Kenya, only the perceived “threat” of tetanus due to local flood conditions.

These local disasters are a common reason UNICEF goes into poorer countries with free vaccines to begin mass vaccination programs.

Health Impact News reported last year that UNICEF began a similar mass vaccination program with 500,000 doses of live oral polio vaccine in the Philippines after a Super Typhoon devastated Tacolban and surrounding areas. This was in spite of the fact there were no reported cases of polio in the Philippines since 1993, and people who have had the live polio vaccine can “shed” the virus into sewage systems, thereby causing the actual disease it is supposed to be preventing. The House Transportation Subcommittee on Aviation held an oversight hearing last week on the two recent Boeing 7373 MAX airplane crashes.

Testifying were the heads of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Asking questions and making statements were 39 members of the House – 22 Democrats and 17 Republicans – who during the 2018 election cycle took in a total of $134,749 – or an average of $3,455 each from Boeing in campaign contributions.

Inoculating their interests from responsibility, blame, shame and liability were the Boeing lobbyists and lawyers swarming the Capitol.

The chair of the subcommittee, Rick Larsen (D-Washington) ($7,048 from Boeing in 2018, $101,134 over his career), artfully steered the hearing away from Boeing’s corporate responsibility for the deaths of the passengers on the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines planes that crashed within five months killing all 346 passengers on board.

During his question period, Anthony Brown (D-Maryland) ($8,500 from Boeing in 2018) didn’t once say the word “Boeing.”

Sam Graves (R-Missouri) ($10,000 from Boeing in 2018) spent his seven minutes of question time shifting the blame from Boeing to the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airline pilots.

“Pilots trained in the United States would have successfully been able to handle these situations,” he said as a matter of fact.

This did not sit well with pilots trained in the United States.

The Seattle Times reported last week that Allied Pilots Association (APA) President Captain Daniel Carey was incensed at what he saw as a deliberate campaign by Boeing supporters to point to pilot error.

“Boeing needs to stop dodging responsibility and stop blaming dead pilots for its mistakes,” Carey said.

SecDef Orders New Limits on Military Reporting to Congress

Pentagon says new limits actually increase transparency

Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan has issued a new memo imposing major new restrictions on the methods through which the Pentagon and defense officials are allowed to share information with Congressional offices or committees.

The policy imposes serious limits, telling officials to only give Congress official summaries instead of actual plans, and sets officials within the Pentagon who decide whether a Congressional request can be proven to be legitimate.

This is clearly intended to further limit information sharing at a time when many in Congress are complaining they’re already not being kept sufficiently informed. Reps. Adam Smith (D-WA) and Mac Thornberry (R-TX) warned that the new policy is overstepping the Pentagon’s authority, by “presuming to determine what warrants legislative oversight.”

The Pentagon tried to spin this as the exact opposite, even though it clearly establishes several new limits to informing Congress. They argued that because no official limits existed before Shanahan’s memo, any specific limits must necessarily provide a real guideline, and would actually increase transparency in the long run.

No one believes that, of course, but with the Trump Administration withholding more and more from Congress and the media, it is in keeping with the general direction of opacity.

Bayer’s Monsanto Faces 8,000 Additional Lawsuits After $2 Billion Verdict In Case Of Poisoned Farmer

Over the last three decades, Roundup became synonymous with farming. Farmer John Barton would use a thousand gallons a day just to get rid of the weeds which would grow in his farm just out of Bakersfield in California.

The 3 children of the Barton’s would also regularly help out when using the tractor was not an option. The entire family would go back home, completely soaked in sweat and Roundup. The chemical would be everywhere.

The parent company of Roundup, Monsanto, asserted it was just as safe as regular old table salt. One could even drink it! The chemical would apparently just kill off the weed by getting into its root.

Now Barton is at the ripe old age of 70 and retired from the life of farming since 2010. He intended to shift to the northern part of Idaho along with Mrs. Barton. But, unfortunately for him, Roundup, which was apparently as harmless as table salt, might have resulted in the diagnosis with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. His lymph nodes swelling and his life is in shambles.

Mr. Barton is one of the 40 plaintiffs in litigation against Bayer AG, the parent company of Monsanto. The more shocking fact is that there are about 11,000 cases that are pending against the corporation. The cases draw grounds on the use of glyphosate, the primary part of Roundup. It has been a part of the compound since the 1970s.

Fortunately enough, a California federal judge ordered the organization to start mediation and attempt to settle all the cases. Monsanto, however, has been a staunch defender of their product. In all of this hullabaloo, Monsanto was taken over by Bayer last year since the month of June.

Hackers Now Demand $10k Per Day In Baltimore Cryptocurrency Ransomware Attack

Approximately 10,000 Baltimore City government computers remain crippled after a cryptocurrency ransomware attack locked officials out of critical servers, basically paralyzing the city for 14 days and counting.

We were one of the first to report the May 7th attack that brought Baltimore's entire communication network to a standstill. Hackers wanted 13 bitcoins (about $100,000) on day one of the attacks but have since demanded $10,000 per day since city officials refused to pay the ransom late last week.

Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young has warned the attack continues to devastate the city, could take months to recover some servers.

"It's extremely alarming," said City Council President Brandon Scott.

Avi Rubin, a Johns Hopkins computer science professor and cybersecurity expert, told NPR the ransomware used in the attack is "unbreakable," and so powerful that even government specialists cannot crack the code to unlock the city's computer network.

"I don't even think that the NSA would be able to break this algorithm," Rubin said.

"It's believed by the cryptographic community, both the theoreticians as well as the practitioners, to be unbreakable by today's technologies."

This is Baltimore's second cyber attack in a little more than a year. Last March, a ransomware attack on the city's emergency communications network forced dispatchers to relay addresses and other critical information to first responders via phone or text.

As the city remains paralyzed on Wednesday, numerous services provided by the local government are either offline or workarounds have been developed.

EU’s Juncker says ‘stupid nationalists’ are ‘in love with their country’ & hate foreigners

Juncker took to CNN on Wednesday to share his belief the nationalist politicians pose a distinct threat to European unity with their stance on migration.

“These populist, nationalists, stupid nationalists, they are in love with their own countries,” he said, urging the EU to show “solidarity” with migrants instead.

They don’t like those coming from far away, I like those coming from far away… we have to act in solidarity with those who are in a worse situation than we are in.

Right-wing parties, which openly criticize the EU’s migration policies, have been on the rise in the past few years, and are expected to get a fair share of votes during the European elections. Juncker argued their success can be explained rather simply, since it’s “always easier to mobilize negative forces” than promote “positive” things.

In the same interview, Juncker found the ‘bright’ side of the never-ending Brexit fiasco that the UK got itself into, claiming that “since Brexit… the number of those in favor of the European Union is increasing because people are watching what is happening and they are seeing that leaving the European Union is not as easy as they were told.”

Juncker, who’s set to leave his post in late 2019, advocates a second Brexit referendum for the UK, yet he still believes the “result might not be any different.” Incidentally, independent immigration policy was one of the two major talking points of the Leave campaign, the other being the national sovereignty.

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953) criminalizes negotiations by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States — the purpose of the Logan Act is to prevent an unauthorized person (John Kerry) from undermining the government’s current position.

“John Kerry violated the Logan Act,” Trump said a couple weeks ago. “He’s talking to Iran and has been, has many meetings and many phone calls and he’s telling them what to do. That is a total violation of the Logan act.”

Last May, it was reported by the Boston Globe that Barack Obama’s former Secretary of State, John Kerry had been secretly meeting with foreign officials to salvage Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

On May 8th, 2018, President Trump announced he was set to withdraw from Obama’s Iran nuke deal calling it one of the worst deals he’s ever witnessed.

Leading up to Trump’s announcement, John Kerry, the architect of the Iran nuke deal, was reportedly behind the scenes on a “stealthy yet aggressive mission” of shadow diplomacy, desperately trying to preserve his pact by meeting with Iranian official, Javad Zarif.

John Kerry was previously seen in Paris meeting with Iranian officials, Obama was recently in Germany secretly meeting with Chancellor Merkel and Hillary Clinton traveled to Puerto Rico (US territory) in January to meet with the governor of San Juan to help rebuild infrastructure after a powerful hurricane destroyed the island.

Assange Faces Death Penalty As DoJ Files Espionage Act Charges

The worst fears of Julian Assange's legal team have just been realized.

Just as Wikileaks' editor in chief anticipated, the DoJ has unveiled a slate of new charges against Assange including 17 new counts of violating the Espionage Act stemming from his role in publishing the classified documents leaked by Chelsea Manning, per the New York Times.

In addition to significantly raising the punishment threshold (from a maximum of 5.5 years under the previous indictment to the prospect of a death sentence for violating the Espionage Act), the new charges will raise serious first amendment issues as Assange will become the first journalist charged under the Espionage Act.

Though it's not a guarantee, Espionage Act violations carry the prospect of a death sentence.

The Justice Department’s decision to pursue Espionage Act charges signals a dramatic escalation under President Trump to crack down on leaks of classified information and aims squarely at First Amendment protections for journalists. Most recently, law enforcement officials charged a former intelligence analyst with giving classified documents to The Intercept, a national security news website.

Legal scholars believe that prosecuting reporters over their work would violate the First Amendment, but the prospect has not yet been tested in court because the government had never charged a journalist under the Espionage Act.

Though he is not a conventional journalist, much of what Mr. Assange does at WikiLeaks is difficult to distinguish in a legally meaningful way from what traditional news organizations like The New York Times do: seek and publish information that officials want to be secret, including classified national security matters, and take steps to protect the confidentiality of sources.

Per the NYT, the Obama administration considered bringing the Espionage Act charges against Assange, but balked because it didn't want to raise the First Amendment issue. While Wikileaks had warned of this possibility, they suspected that the US would wait until Assange was on American soil before bringing Espionage Act-related charges.

Remember, the UK and Ecuador promised that no serious harm would befall Assange - ie that Assange wouldn't be put to death in the US. Now that the death penalty is a possibility, whether this helps or hurts Assange's chances of successfully battling extradition remains to be seen.

Trump Signs Order Cracking Down on Welfare-Dependent Legal Immigration

President Trump signed a presidential memorandum on Thursday cracking down on welfare-dependent legal immigration to the United States in an effort to protect American taxpayers.

The order signed by Trump will enforce existing 1996 laws known as the “Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act” and “Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act” which were signed by then-President Bill Clinton. The order ensures that federal agencies will enforce the existing 1996 laws which seek to save American taxpayers by having their public welfare funding benefits reimbursed when they are used by a legal immigrant.

The first function of the order mandates that a family member or business sponsor of a legal immigrant looking to permanently resettle in the U.S. is responsible for paying back the welfare costs previously used by that immigrant.

For example, if a visa holder has used $10,000 in food stamp benefits while living in the U.S., when a family member sponsors them for a green card, that family member will be notified of the legal immigrant’s welfare costs to taxpayers and obligated to pay back the amount.

If the sponsor of a legal immigrant does not pay the welfare cost, the Treasury Offset Program will take the money out of the sponsor’s taxes for that year. Federal officials said implementation of this order would begin in September.

A senior administration official told Breitbart News that the order to enforce Clinton’s 1996 law will drive down welfare-dependent legal immigration to the U.S. which has cost American taxpayers billions over the years.

“This is a historic, transformative action to restore the foundational principle of U.S. immigration law: that those seeking to join our society must support themselves financially,” the official said.

“This executive action will dramatically curb ‘welfare tourism’ and protect U.S. benefits for U.S. families,” the official continued. “It will also ensure that immigrant sponsors cannot continue the practice of bringing in large numbers of welfare-dependent immigrants: because they will be financially liable. Congress passed these laws – but they were effectively never used. Now they will be.”

The second function of the order ensures that the income a sponsor to a legal immigrant is taken into consideration when a legal immigrant is applying for federal welfare.

Collusion: Report documents links between staffers at HuffPost, The Guardian, and SPLC to Left-wing domestic terror group Antifa

It is hard for many Americans, if not most of us, to imagine a time when our country was not so politically and culturally divided.

What’s more, it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which things begin to improve between rival factions.

A sign of our divided times is the rise of Antifa, a loosely-aligned Marxist-Left group of political agitators who came to prominence during the heady days of Donald Trump’s rise in the ranks of GOP presidential contenders and his eventual presidential nomination.

At rally after rally, Trump supporters weren’t just heckled by Antifa members, they were very often attacked, and violently so. In fact, the attacks became so violent and so frequent that even President Obama’s FBI and Department of Homeland Security would eventually characterize Antifa-related violence as ‘domestic terrorism.’

But despite these well-documented incidents of violence, not only was Donald Trump blamed, but groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which supposedly monitor hate-related violence, have refused to label Antifa hate group.

Now, thanks to a new report, we know why.

A team of researchers led by Eoin Lenihan, of Stuttgart, Germany, a former teacher who is now an analyst concentrating on online extremism, found that despite Antifa’s well-known acts of violence, reporters and staffers with HuffPost, The Guardian, and the SPLC have nevertheless maintained contact with Antifa activists, PJ Media reported.

Lenihan says that his team “mapped the social interactions of 58,254 Antifa affiliated Twitter accounts based on an initial seed of 16 self-identifying and verifiable Antifa accounts (and Mark Bray who chose not to confirm if he is a member of Antifa but whose book makes a solid case for inclusion).”

Brothers speared by marlin that crashed onto inflatable fishing boat off NSW coast

Two brothers have been seriously injured after being speared by a marlin that crashed onto their inflatable boat north of the NSW Central Coast.

The men, aged 46 and 48, were out on the ocean as part of a fishing trip with another 46-year-old man in a five-metre-long rigid hull-inflatable boat in the Solitary Islands Marine Park off Wooli around midday when the incident occurred.

The trio told NSW Police the marlin, which they estimated to have weighed between 80 and 100 kilograms, crashed onto the small vessel while they were travelling back to shore at a speed of about 21 knots.

The animal’s sharp snout sliced open the 46-year-old man’s lower right arm and caused a fracture, and also caused a deep cut to his brother’s right shoulder.

The third man in the vessel was not injured, while the fish then scrambled off the boat and back into the water.
