How did that work out for us?
The Commonwealth could/should be a benign confederacy of like-minded, democratic nations - even republican ones. We just need to end the cabal that controls them.
I agree they should be "formally independent". I don't get the "made into adversaries" requirement. The point is that, even today, after cabal's decades of attacks on them, they remain 80%+ of British ancestry. That means they share culture, social mores, and ,most importantly, bonds of family.
