JA is a non-American citizen who redistributed American classified info. The bad-actors in the media will be charged with seditious conspiracy and/or accessory. JA getting off the hook does nothing to help Them.
I'm no lawyer, but I don't think the 'receiving stolen property' laws apply to ones and zeros.

More to the point, they knew about the coup going on, they deliberately took actions to aid it and then deliberately took actions designed to help the plotters escape justice. THAT is what they have to worry about. A little libel is nothing.
